Alanis Morissette, Unsurprisingly, Likes Art That’s Macro and Micro
Alanis Morissette whose song Hand In My Pocket was covered in a moving way at the end of Amazon’s third season of Transparent, appeared at Amazon Prime Video Presents ‘Transparent’ Official Emmy FYC Event And Special Screening.
While there, Morissette talked about the show and was “geeking out” over it.
“Well I got emotionally involved when I started watching the show and just really connected with the family, and the story, and the activism,” she shared. “Whenever art is micro and macro, it’s my fantasy. And you can blend them both and this show does that stunningly.”
We’re not surprised Morissette is a fan of blending micro and macro, as we feel her album Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, does a brilliant job of that.
She added that, “Getting into subtleties is my jam,” which also doesn’t surprise us.
Morissette from the get go of her big hit album Jagged Little Pill in the 90’s proved she’s an artist who can go deep, and it’s nice to see her out there supporting other art.
