Apple Releasing New iPhone 7 and 7 Plus In Red
While Apple doesn’t typically tend to announce new phones without major speculation, buildup, and rumors beforehand, today Apple announced that they are going to be releasing a special red edition of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The red iPhone is part of the (Product)RED campaign to help bring awareness and raise money to fight HIV/Aids.
The phones will come in 128 GB and 256 GB storage capacities, and will be available to order this coming Friday.
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, released a statement about the product, revealing that, “Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (Product)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,. The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (Product)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands.”
We’re big Apple fans and if charity can factor into it as well, this gets a big thumbs up from us.
