Bethenny Frankel – Ex Jason Hoppy Arrested, Restraining Order Issued
There has been major breaking news in the last 24 hours regarding Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel’s ex-husband, Jason Hoppy.
According to reports, Hoppy was arrested last Friday for allegedly stalking Frankel and threatening her that he would destroy her.
A spokesperson for the NYPD told Page Six that, “On Friday, January 27, the suspect approached her and a friend at her child’s school at around 8:15 a.m. and tried to provoke a fight. He said, ‘I will destroy you, you can get all the lawyers you want, you’ve been warned.’”
After this, he was arrested and charged with harassment in the first degree and stalking in the fourth degree.
A statement was issued from Hoppy’s attorney, Robert C. Gottlieb, who claimed that, “There are no words to express how saddened Mr. Hoppy is over his ex-wife’s unjustified actions. His only concern is his daughter and intends to vigorously fight these false charges.”
Since the initial arrest, a restraining order has been issued, preventing Hoppy from contacting Frankel at all, requiring him to steer clear of her house/her daughter’s school/her businesses, and preventing him from contacting her through third party sources. The only way he can contact her is if they have to meet in person regarding custody.
