BREAKING: National Security Advisor Flynn Resigns
Yesterday afternoon, lots of controversial reports began breaking regarding General Michael T. Flynn, the National Security Advisor/Assistant To The President. The reports detailed how Flynn may have told Vice President Mike Pence incomplete information (prior thte inauguration) regarding phone calls with the Russian Ambassador.
Reports yesterday were conflicting, with Kellyanne Conway detailing that President Donald Trump supported Flynn, and, moments later, Sean Spicer claiming Flynn was being looked into.
Then, last night, Flynn resigned in a resignation letter where he admitted certain things.
“I inadvertently briefed the Vice President Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian Ambassador,” Flynn wrote in his letter. “I have sincerely apologized to the President and Vice President, and they have accepted my apology.”
He also noted that, “I am tendering my resignation.”
