EXCLUSIVE: NBA star Carlos Boozer – Drops Child Support Battle with Ex-Wife Following Years of Duking it Out in Court
The Dirty can exclusively reveal NBA star Carlos Boozer has headed to court to drop his battle with his ex-wife over child support … following over a year of the former couple duking it out in divorce court.
Carlos and Cindy Boozer were married for 8 years and shared 3 kids … when she originally filed for divorce in 2010 following allegations he had an affair with a contestant from “The Bachelor”.
Two years later, the two reconciled and re-married following the divorce being dismissed. Things didn’t work out and Carlos filed for divorce again in 2012.
The nasty divorce saw both parties battling it out in court over custody and support of their 3 kids. Cindy even filed docs demanding she be allowed to depose another woman named Ameska Smith … who was rumored to also have had an affair with Carlos during their marriage.
Back in 2015, the divorce was finally official due to the two coming to an agreement. Then months later, Carlos filed docs demanding his child support be modified aka decreased despite agreeing to the amount in the settlement.
All signs pointed to Carlos’ income drastically dropping following him leaving the NBA in the 2014-2015 season … and the child support amount based on his income at the time he was in the league.
Cindy fired back at her ex-husband and demanded his motion be denied and the child support amount stay as put. No decision had been made on the matter for years and no public filings have been made since September.
Then on April 7th, Boozer filed a notice of voluntary dismissal of his motion to modify the child support … finally bringing a close to the years long battle of the exes … and Cindy scoring a victory in her battle to keep the support as is.
