Church Of Scientology On The Decline
Since Leah Remini‘s show Scientology: The Aftermath hit it big last year, The Church of Scientology has been the focal point of many news articles.
According to a new story from Jezebel, famous Scientology blogger Tony Ortega has spoken out about the membership enrollment numbers of the Church of Scientology, and how the Church has not been forthcoming/truthful about them.
“They’ve always lied about it, they’ve always said millions and they’ve never had millions,” Ortega said to Jezebel.
“Fortunately we’ve had some top officials come out who had access to enrollment documents,” he continued. “And according to them, the greatest extent of Scientology was about the year 1990. They had about 100,000 people around the world.”
Due to this, it’s a clear conclusion to draw that the enrollment is on a decline, if it was at its highest in 1990.
We are sure this has something to do with all of the information that has begun to come out about the Church, including alleged abuses of power, disconnecting people from their families, and more.
It will be interesting to see if the Church decides to respond to this claim or not.
