EXCLUSIVE: DMX – SHUT DOWN by Bankruptcy Judge in Chapter 13, Rapper Blew off Court Order
The Dirty can exclusively reveal DMX has once again failed in bankruptcy court with a federal judge throwing out his entire case due to him blowing off the court order … leaving the rapper’s New York home in risk of being foreclosed on.
The rapper filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy last year with assets including his Mount Kisco, New York home worth an estimated $350k, no automobiles, no furniture or household goods, no electronics or guns, no jewelry or clothing worth anything and has no cash on hand or any money in the bank.
DMX’s liabilities include $950,000 owed to Compass Bank, $304,796 in back child support, another $230,898 in support and an additional $1.4 million in family support debt and various other debts for a grand total of $2,030,970.
According to the docs, DMX is filing for bankruptcy in an attempt to stop a foreclosure sale of his New York home … which will be put on hold until the outcome of the bankruptcy.
Recently, the trustee presiding over the case demanded DMX’s bankruptcy be tossed accusing him of blowing off court rules by failing to file a repayment plan, not showing up to hearings and not turning over his financial documents to the court.
Then on March 27th, the judge had enough of waiting for DMX to show up and dismissed the entire bankruptcy. This leaves the rapper on the hook for his debts without the courts protection .. including his New York home still facing foreclosure.
The judge also banned the rapper was for filing another bankruptcy case until March 2018 … due to his multiple other failed bankruptcies over the years.
