EXCLUSIVE: Jacqueline Laurita Turned Down RHONJ Offer
While there have been rumors floating around for a while that Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita would not be returning for the eighth season of the show, today Page Six reported she was not going to come back due to money.
Specifically, Page Six claimed Laurita is “really highly paid” and that “the network declined to cough up as much per episode as she had hoped for.”
A source close to production has confirmed that the rumor is true.
“Jacqueline is definitely not returning to the show,” our insider confirmed.
“Production did make her an offer, but she declined it,” they added.
Specifically, our source noted that, “Production wanted to give her a full time ‘daily’ rate, with a part time position. They promised her it could turn into full time, but Jacqueline knows her worth- and that she made last season- so she refused to do it.”
“It’s not worth the aggravation,” they added, “And it’s truly a slap in the face after what she gave up last season.”
Something tells us production will come knocking on her door when they realize that- 1: this makes no sense for her to disappear after so much of the storyline surrounding her and 2: they won’t have drama to deal with if she’s gone, as the rest of the women are currently all on good terms with one another.
