EXCLUSIVE: Kodak Black – Drops Legal Battle with Record Label, Currently Locked Up in Florida Jail
The Dirty can exclusively reveal Kodak Black has dropped his battle with his record label – in which he was demanding to be let out of his contract – days after the rapper was arrested for violating the terms of his house arrest.
The rapper sued Dollaz and Dealz Entertainment – who he signed with in 2013 – accusing them of tricking him into signing due to fraud. He explained they have not paid him a dime in royalties and says the head of the company is currently incarcerated and cannot perform the terms of their deal. To make matters worse, they refused to turn over accounting for his sales.
Kodak sued demanding his record deal with the company be found void and unenforceable … along with unspecified damages.
Last month, the rapper was arrested for violating the terms of his house arrest and probation. He is currently locked up without bond.
Then on March 20th, his legal team filed docs in the record label suit explaining Kodak is dismissing the case against Dollaz and Dealz, despite them not yet responding to the allegations … might have something to do with his current situation.
