EXCLUSIVE: Lamar Odom – Legal Battle with Baby Mama over Child Support & Custody Finally Comes to an End, Following 6 Years of Fighting it Out in Court
The Dirty can exclusively reveal that Lamar Odom’s years-long divorce battle with his baby mama Liza Morales has finally come to an end …. with the never-ending fight over child support and custody of their 2 kids being closed after 6 years in court that has been delayed numerous times due to the NBA star’s battle with drugs.
For some backstory on the couple, Odom and Morales share 2 children from their relationship together, Destiny and Lamar Jr. Their third child, Jayden, tragically died when he was only 6 months old. The two met while attending high school in New York and dated since 11th grade.
Lamar sued Liza in New York back in 2010, attempting to get a judge to sign off on an order for the child support he was to pay his baby mama along with a custody schedule.
The divorce and custody battle was scheduled to begin trial on December 19th in a New York Court where the judge was also set to hear arguments on Liza’s motion for temporary support.
Things changed a bit, though, when Lamar voluntarily checked into a San Diego based rehab for his drug and alcohol problems, causing the trial to be postponed.
On March 9th, the case went before a New York judge after numerous false starts and rescheduled hearings in the case. The judge heard arguments from both sides and the case was finally disposed following the Supreme Trial earlier this month.
The details of the final order will remain confidential and sealed by the court; However, the case has been officially closed with all issues finally being settled between the parties, so both sides can breathe a sigh of relief.
