EXCLUSIVE: Monique Samuels Talks Being Housewife Number 7- Now 6
We recently got the chance to extensively chat with Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels.
One of the topics Samuels discussed with us was whether she was brought on to replace Katie Rost, who departed the show after only being on for one season.
So was she brought on to replace Rost?
Samuels informed us she wasn’t, dishing that, “I was supposed to be Housewife number seven. With Katie, there were six of them. Katie decided not to return. I only met her one time for a brief moment at her event. I’ve never been around her other than that time and never saw her again. I don’t know why she decided not to return.”
As for her time on the show so far, Samuels shared that, “It’s been pretty fun. I can’t complain. Not yet anyway.’I’m actually enjoying git. It’s funny seeing the finished result when you’re watching the episodes. Obviously I’m seeing them right before they air, so it’s just crazy. Every week my stomach is in knots every time I have to watch one.”
Samuels also dished on what we can expect to see in the coming weeks of her, stating that, “You’ll get to know me even more. You’re gonna actually see a piece of some of the things that I do handle as far as the properties and managing those things and the kids and my husband and how we interact. What was crazy about our situation is my husband and I were in Alabama for four years. So we are not only coming into this area, we’re wanting to find a bigger house, we’re trying to re-introduce ourselves to the city.”
“We’re trying to figure out how to balance life as a married couple, as parents… and try to be social and go on date nights and kind of get back into our whole rhythm,” she wrapped with saying. “It’s definitely going to be entertaining. You’re gonna get to know the Samuels’s. We have fun. We tell it like it is. And my kids are the same way. “
We enjoyed our conversation with Samuels and look forward to hearing more from her as the season progresses.
