EXCLUSIVE: NFL star Adrian Peterson – Bank Sues Over $1.5 Million Loan Default, Accuse Him of Blowing Off Payments
The Dirty can exclusively report Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson was hit with a lawsuit accusing him of defaulting on a $1.5 million loan with a bank saying he blew off payments and demanded he cough up $455k immediately.
On December 22nd, IBERIABANK sued the NFL star in Texas Court over him defaulting on the million dollar+ line of credit.
Adrian took out the $1.5 million line of credit with IBERIABANK – a financial institution – back in June 2015. The loan required monthly payments with interest and a balloon payment of all loaned funds in December 2015.
They accused the NFL star of failing to pay the balloon payment and even gave him numerous extensions. Adrian finally got on a payment plan with the bank. He was to make the first installment – in the amount of $75k – on November 30th … but he failed to make the payment.
The bank sued Adrian demanding the full $455,344.70 left owed and interest and legal fees. The NFL star never responded to the lawsuit in court.
However, the bank filed docs recently dismissing all claims against Adrian and closing the case … pointing to a possible settlement reached outside of court.
