EXCLUSIVE: NFL star Dwight Freeney – Children’s Hebrew Academy Dragged Into Legal Battle
The Dirty can exclusively reveal NFL star Dwight Freeney is dragging a children’s Hebrew Academy into his legal battle with over millions allegedly stolen by his ex-financial adviser and the judge has sided with him over a subpoena sent to the school where his former adviser’s kids attended … that cost up to $60k a year in tuition.
Freeney sued his former financial adviser Eva Weinberg, her former husband Michael Bock… accusing them of defrauding him out of over $2 million over the years. Eva’s former husband, Michael, was accused of helping his wife commit the fraud. Freeney has been battling it out in court in his lawsuit for over a year.
A hearing was held earlier this month, where the judge heard both sides argument on Freeney’s subpoena to the Yavneh Hebrew Academy … where he’s seeking information about tuition and expenses for Eva and Michael’s three children who attended the school during 2010 and 2013, the time period Freeney alleges the millions were stolen.
Michael argued that the subpoena is not relevant to the case, amounts to harassment and contains information that is protected by his children’s right to privacy.
The judge disagreed and ordered the Hebrew Academy to turn over the information Freeney is requesting. He explains evidence of them paying $45k-$60k per year in tuition for their kids during the time of the alleged fraud is relevant and in no way harassment.
