EXCLUSIVE: Why Katie Rost Left RHOP Season 2 After Two Weeks Of Filming
Yesterday, Bravo officially released the trailer for the second season of The Real Housewives of Potomac. Fans likely noticed that Katie Rost, who announced last year she was leaving the show (after beginning filming for season 2), was completely absent.
We spoke to an insider close to production to find out what went on.
“Katie only filmed for around two weeks,” they exclusively revealed to us.
“There were topics of conversation being brought up that she didn’t want to address,” they added.
We probed our source more, eager to know what they were.
“Katie was being confronted about her boyfriend Andrew‘s past, specifically when he was indicted in 2012 for an attempt to distribute drugs,” they dished.
“Katie couldn’t handle the heat, and thus she left the kitchen,” our source added.
While we’re not surprised someone wouldn’t want to address something in the world of Housewives, we are surprised Bravo didn’t show this at all in the preview, as showing that footage and her exit definitely could have stirred up some drama. Perhaps they felt it was better to just remove her from the tape and start with a clean slate.
