Gilbert Arenas talks about Tiger Woods arrest as he leaves Catch Restaurant in West Hollywood
NBA player Gilbert Arenas was spotted outside Catch Restaurant in West Hollywood, California, and was asked about the topic everyone’s talking about- namely, Tiger Woods’s arrest.
“Is that a real charge?” Arenas asked of the DUI. “I mean, I don’t drink and drive, but why can’t ya? I mean as long as no one died, you should be fine.”
When he found out it was due to mixing medications, Arenas changed his tune a bit, saying, “I’m sorry, now I can’t root for Tiger. Just say you got fu**ed up and you were driving. Mixed medications. That’s the suckiest s**t about being an athlete. You gotta lie. Just say you got drunk, you got fu**ed up like everyone else in America.”
“You can’t ever count them out,” Arenas added of the greats like Woods and if he could make a comeback..“They are the greats. They are special. Them being average is still competing with everyone else.”
While we think Woods may be able to make a comeback, right now his DUI is the only thing everyone’s talking about… so in this moment, it might be an uphill battle. Like all things, though, this too shall pass.
