Jenelle Evans Reacts To Custody Decision
As we exclusively reported yesterday, Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans felt it was her Mom’s fault she was going through a custody hearing to try to get her first son, Jace, back. While she sadly didn’t end up regaining full custody of her son, Evans spoke out on it last night in an interview with E! News.
Jenelle detailed to E! that her new custody agreement reached yesterday still has her Mom as the primary custodian of Jace, but that she will have Jace “on weekeneds, holidays, and during the summer season.”
She told E! that,“I’m not restricted to when my mom says I can have my son anymore, and at the moment that’s all I care about. [I] just want to spend time with my son. He will be home one day but today wasn’t the day, sadly.”
Jenelle continued detailing that, “I’m really happy we could to a decision for Jace but it doesn’t change my feelings towards my mom. She still isn’t giving up my son to me but I will fight again in the future when the time is right.”
“I’m happy but devastated at the same time that I didn’t take it to trial,” she added. “But in the world of Jenelle, you learn to pick and choose your battles.”
Jenelle wrapped with telling E! that she will continue to fight for full custody “maybe in a year, but I want the judge to see this new order has been in effect and [I’ve] been complying with it no problems,”
While we’re happy for Evans she at least will see her son more than before, it’s sad to know she still can’t have full custody of him.
