EXCLUSIVE: Jessica Alba – Actress’ Beauty Co. Reaches Settlement with Angry Customers in Class Action Suit
The Dirty can exclusively reveal Jessica Alba’s business, The Honest Company, has reached a settlement in the class action lawsuit filed by angry customers – who accused them of misleading advertisements and selling products that caused harm – which will bring an end to the year and legal battle.
A man named Jonathan Rubin filed a class action suit against Alba’s billion dollar business, The Honest Company, back in 2015. He accused them of misleading customers in ads by claiming the products were all “natural” and pointed out that the sunscreen sold caused many to be burned badly.
Jessica Alba’s company demanded the suit be tossed out of court saying the complaint had no specific examples to the allegations of misleading customers.
Then on February 24th, docs were filed in the case explaining The Honest Company and the customers have reached a settlement agreement in principle on a class wide basis. The parties believes the finalized written settlement will be completed within 45 days subject to approval by all plaintiffs.
