Joy Villa Rocks MAGA Dress, Blasted For Doing It For Scientology
Last night at The Grammy Awards, there was much to talk about, but the one thing that stole the show early in the night was singer Joy Villa, who rocked a Make America Great Again dress to show her support to President Donald Trump.
While she was immediately slammed on Twitter by Trump critics- and praised on Twitter by Trump supporters- the most interesting thing to come out of the situation was an accusation that Villa did this for The Church of Scientology.
Famed ex-Scientologist Mike Rinder took to Twitter to call Villa out for rocking the dress as a publicity stunt to bring attention to Scientology.
“#JoyVilla is an attention-hungry #scientology pusher,” Rinder shared. “Dress is a stunt to get media coverage so she can push #scientology #GRAMMYs.”
Rinder shared a few other tweets regarding Villa, including an Instagram post where she checked into the Church of Scientology and referred to it as “my church.”
Villa took to her Instagram to post about the dress, stating, “Go big, or go home. You can either stand for what you believe or fall for what you don’t. Above all make a choice for tolerance and love. Agree to disagree. See the person over the politics, carry yourself with dignity, always. Life is made to be lived, so go boldly and give no effs! ?❤️????⭐️?✨ #love #peace #joyvillagrammys #joyvilla #maga #grammys2017 #style #supportamerica.”
Regardless of what her reasoning for wearing the dress thing, one thing is for certain- Villa definitely was provocative and commanded attention.
