EXCLUSIVE: Rapper Kodak Black – Demands to Be Let Out of Recording Contract, Sues Company over Alleged Fraudulent Deal
The Dirty can exclusively reveal rapper Kodak Black is demanding to be let out of his recording contract … accusing his label of screwing him out of money and refusing to hand over accounting and now he’s pleading with a judge to let him out of his deal.
The rapper sued Dollaz and Dealz Entertainment in Florida Court.
Kodak explains he signed an exclusive recording deal with the company back in 2013 … however, the rapper claims he was tricked into signing it due to fraud and calls the deal illegal and unenforceable. He says he worked with the company for years and signed multiple amended contracts … which they have refused to give him copies of despite his demands … which is a problem due to them not even having an agency license required by law.
The rapper accuses the company of never paying him a dime in royalties. Further, he claims the head of Dollaz and Dealz is currently incarcerated and cannot perform his terms of their deal since he’s locked up. Kodak says they breached the deal for failing to make payments, failing to hand over accounting records and failing to perform the services agreed to in the contract.
He’s suing to have the contract with Dollaz and Deals found void and unenforceable and unspecified damages.
The rapper isn’t having the best week ever … having been arrested for violating the terms of his house arrest and probation … and he was sentenced to 3 months by the judge.
