LaVar Ball’s Former Football Teammates Say He Was ‘Garbage’ On The Field
LaVar Ball is starting to feel the heat from the angry mob that is the internet.
For the last two months LaVar, father of UCLA standout Lonzo Ball (and possible 1st pick in the 2017 NBA Draft), has made a name for himself by making some pretty ridiculous statements. From being able to beat Michael Jordan one-on-one, to trashing children of former NBA legends, LaVar has definitely ruffled a few feathers.
However, you might not know that LaVar spent some time in the NFL with the New York Jets and on the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad. He also had a brief stint with the London Monarchs of the World League of American Football where he had no catches and 28 kick return yards.
In a recent interview with Bleacher Report, LaVar’s former Monarchs teammates were asked about his time playing professional football.
Specifically, Kevin McEntyre, a cornerback who was on the Monarchs with Ball, stated that, “Man, he’s talking all that junk—and he was garbage. Personally, I think the most athletic people in the world are basketball players, and he actually wasn’t a bad athlete, to be honest with you. But he was no comparison to what his kids are—let’s just put it like that.”
One thing is for certain – the name Lavar Ball isn’t going away from the news anytime soon.
