Man Who Impersonated Justin Bieber In Australia Charged With Tons Of Child Sex Offenses
While Justin Bieber is a popular artist with kids and young adults alike, some disgusting news has surfaced regarding a man who was impersonating Bieber in Australia.
According to a CNN report, a 42-year-old man pretended to be Bieber online in an effort to “solicit sexual images from children under 16.” This man did this so much that Australian police have charged him with over 900 child sex offenses.
Jon Rouse, an Australian detective, told CNN that, “The breadth of offenses committed in this instance are frankly horrendous.””
“This investigation demonstrates both the vulnerability of children that are utilizing social media and communication applications and the global reach and skill that child sex offenders have to groom and seduce victims,” he continued.
Rouse also added that, “The fact that so many children could believe that they were communicating with this particular celebrity highlights the need for a serious rethink about the way that we as a society educate our children about online safety.”
According to the report, the explicit content they found on the impersonator’s computer dates back over 10 years.
This is disgusting and we hope this man is charged with the maximum sentence they can give to him. Even if he tries to use a Bieber lyric- “is it too late now to say sorry?”- the court better slam him and make it well known that yes, yes it is.
