EXCLUSIVE: Nicole Murphy – Judge Throws Out Actress’ Legal Battle over Stolen Millions
The Dirty can exclusively reveal Nicole Murphy has been shut down in her legal battle over the millions her childhood friend stole … with a judge throwing out her suit accusing Bank of America of being negligent with her cash.
Troy Stratos – Nicole’s childhood friend and con artist – was sentenced to 21 years in prison for stealing over $20 million. He plead guilty to stealing between $10-$15 million from Nicole … money she had received from her divorce settlement with Eddie Murphy.
Back in 2011, Murphy sued Bank of America accusing them of being negligent and allowing the fraud to take place by Stratos. The legal battle has been raging on for years with the bank denying any responsible for the millions being stolen.
Following Stratos being sentenced, Murphy headed back to Florida court to move her lawsuit against BOA forwarded to trial.
Then on February 28th, the judge came back with his decision and sided with Bank of America. He ordered the entire case to be dismissed and Murphy to be awarded nothing. He explains the bank mailed account notices to her home numerous times and she was aware of Stratos being engaged in potential fraud years prior to him stealing her money … therefore Murphy will not see a dime.
