Sean Spicer and Kellyanne Conway Differ On Flynn Stories
This morning, The Dirty reported that General Michael T. Flynn, the National Security Advisor/Assistant To The President, had resigned.
Then Kellyanne Conway appeared in an interview with Matt Lauer.
“By night’s end Michael Flynn had decided it was best to resign,” Conway said. “He knew he’d become a lightening rod and he made that decision.”
Conway added that President Trump had “accepted General Flynn’s resignation, and he wishes him well.”
Interestingly enough, this afternoon in a press conference, press secretary Sean Spicer had a different story to tell, revealing that Trump asked for Flynn’s resignation over “eroding trust.”
In a world of differing stories from the same administration, it’s hard to know which story is factual and which is a case of alternative facts.
