EXCLUSIVE: Stevie J – Pleas with Judge Not to Throw Him in Jail in $1.3 Million Back Child Support Debt
The Dirty can exclusively reveal Stevie J is pleading with the judge in his criminal case – in which he is accused of screwing his baby mama out of $1.3 million in child support – not to throw him behind bars due to having to take care of his four week old newborn.
Prosecutors filed docs earlier today demanding the reality star have the book thrown at him for his $1.3 million unpaid child support bill. They pointed out he had violated the court order by failing numerous drug tests and even ordered to rehab. They explain the judge should throw Stevie J behind bars for up to 6 months.
Stevie J has fired back pleading with the judge not to sentence him to a day in jail. He believes a non-custodial sentence would allow him to continue to be actively involved in the lives of his children on a daily basis, to provide the emotional and psychological support for his teenage children and to meet his professional obligations so he can continue to support his children.
He is the father to six children ranging in age from four weeks to 21 years-old. Stevie says he sees them all regularly and supports them financially. Further, he brags to the court how he got his children paid for their appearances on Love & Hip Hop. He talks in detail about his rise from not much to a successful record producer.
Stevie claims while he has accepted responsibility for not paying the $1.3 million to his baby mama … he has a close relationship with their daughter and was never a “dead beat dad”. He pleas for the judge not to throw him behind bars and to impose a sentence that doesn’t involve ANY jail time.
