EXCLUSIVE: Zooey Deschanel – Ex-Managers Blast Actress in Battle over ‘New Girl’ Paychecks
The Dirty can exclusively reveal Zooey Deschanel is being blasted by her former managers in the legal battle over her ‘New Girl’ paychecks … with her former reps denying they barged into her dressing room with two strangers.
Back in 2015, the ‘New Girl’ actress was sued by her former managers, Seven Summits, over unpaid commissions from her TV show. They represented her from 1996 until 2013 – when she fired them – and were to be paid 10 percent even after being let go.
They sued accusing Zooey of cutting them off from the TV checks after they demanded a cut from the sale of her website – which reportedly sold for tens of millions.
Zooey counter-sued claiming the managers weren’t owed a dime and demanded a court order stating they don’t get a cut of future income. She pointed to an incident where a firm partner brought two strangers into her dressing room in an attempt to impress the individuals and bring in more money for the company.
Recently, Seven Summits fired back at Zooey denying that one of their partners brought two strangers into Zooey’s dressing room or that they tried to book a meeting for another client with her CAA agent. They deny the actress has even been damaged by them and say they did their job … along with demanding her suit be tossed.
