EXCLUSIVE: NBA star Speedy Claxton – Hit With Second Foreclosure Lawsuit Over ANOTHER New York Home
The Dirty can exclusively reveal Speedy Claxton has been hit with a second lawsuit demanding foreclosure of a New York home …. with the bank demanding the former NBA star be kicked to the curb and cough up the $630k he owes them.
The Bank of New York sued Claxton explaining he took out a $540k mortgage back in 2007. The note was used to purchase a home in Rockaway, NY. However, they accuse him of defaulting on the loan by failing to make any payment since March 2015.
Claxton currently owes $537,687.59 on the unpaid principal, $82k+ for interest, $14k for an escrow advance and other fees for a grand total of $634,924.21.
The bank is demanding the court allow them to foreclosure on Claxton’s property, kick him to the curb and sell off the home at public auction.
The ex-NBA star has yet to respond to the lawsuit … but it won’t be unfamiliar territory for him … since he recently lost a separate foreclosure suit with a bank over a home on the same street as the home currently at risk of being taken from him.
Claxton is also in the midst of a nasty year+ long divorce battle with Basketball Wives star Meeka Claxton.
